This is an extremely rare 18-piece porcelain Dopey set produced by the WDCC for their sales reps to show at Events how the collection
pieces
are made. This set includes 4 Dopeys showing the various stages of production (unpainted resin, painted resin, glazed white ware, finished product) together with 11 individual glazed white ware pieces: The Base, The Body, Hat, Face, Nose, Right hand, Right sleeve, Left hand, Left thumb, Left Sleeve and Left foot. In addition, there were 3 Plussing Items, a cymbal, the drumstick and leather strap. A total of 4 Firings and 20  Paint Colors are depicted to show how many molds and steps it takes to create one figurine, thus justifying the pricing.
We're not precisely sure of the number of these sets made, but our best guess is probably around 30 or less. Distributed as a set only never sold to the public.  Dopey is about 5” the item number was 11K-41074-0 (Old). Dopey holds a pewter drum stick in one hand and an antique-looking brushed gold brass cymbal by a leather cord in the other.  Buckles and buttons on Dopey’s green jacket are sparkling gold. Ears are oversized, adding to his silly look. This Dopey is animated after the first scene release from Disney's 1937 animated classic, "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs."
Plus in mint condition is a hard to find Booklet, ‘The Making of the Walt Disney Classics Collection’ and 2 large Gold Printed WDCC Banners which are Approximately 21-1/2" wide by 47-1/2" to point at bottom
Logo is the same on both sides.
This is an extremely rare combination and Sales Kit set!
All original in mint condition.
