MAGIC BINDER NOTEBOOK

Col. Harlan H. Taylor, M.D. (1899-1987), born in Tennessee, was an Army surgeon who
performed magic for Gen. Douglas MacArthur, Gen Eisenhower, Vice President Richard Nixon. "Ike" always wanted to know how the tricks were done, but Dr. Taylor "kept the faith" and never told!
Dr. Taylor especially liked card magic and had a large library of card magic books. unfortunately he used it as a working library and most of his books had underlining as well as his bookplate on many of the pages.
Dr. Taylor kept this 3 ring binder notebook and when he found a card trick he really liked, he would type the description and method on paper and include what book he found it in as well as the page ( see photo # 6) also he made notations about the particular trick (see photo # 5). He also would protect the holes from tearing out of the binder by putting scotch tape on some of the holes, unfortunately as they aged they would get dark.
Also included will be a brief bio as well as a business card for Dr. Taylor (see photo # 2 ). I have also included the original binder he used (see photo # 10 ), but had to take the pages out as you could not turn them.
