ITEM:   Here is hard cover book,
The Parlor Magician
, circa 1863, published by Dick and Fitzgerald.  This originally had paper covers, but now rebound in maroon cloth hardcover, with THE PARLOR MAGICIAN in gold letters on the new spine.  Title page, and first few pages are missing.  It starts with page page 3, with "THE PARLOR MAGICIAN / PART I", on the top of the page.  Rest of book has text and multiple illustrations.  Without covers and title pages, etc., it is impossible to know how this is listed in Toole Stott.
The index in Vol Two of Toole Stott lists "
Parlor Magician
, 1143-4". When you go to those TS numbers, both are mislabeled as "PARLOUR MAGICIAN (THE), and have the TS numbers of 1144-5.  Toole Stott has an error in the spelling and placement.
DATE:  Circa 1863
SIZE:  4 5/16 by 6 3/4x inches, ends at page 126, followed by a single page of ads for other Dick and Fitzgerald books.
COND:  Title page is missing.  Begins with page 3, no wrappers.  Page 3 has corner chip.      Rest of pages in otherwise fine condition.   With exception of missing pages, all rest is  in otherwise very Fine condition. Please view the attached image to see the quality of this fine item.
