I highly recommend this biography of Al Flosso.  It begins with some great thumbnails of the other famous magicians who mentored him, and then moves chapter by chapter through his career as pitchman, puppeteer, magician, and magic store owner.  The style of the book is anecdotal, giving glimpses of interesting moments in Flosso's life, without trying to be too comprehensive.  I found it was a great way to let me feel like I knew his character, which was definitely colorful.
The book will make you smile a lot, laugh out loud a few times, and when you finish reading it -- at 128 pages, it does not take buy a few hours -- your love of magic will be stronger than it was before.
BONUS:  this book also includes a complete re-print of the OUR MYSTERIES and ANNEMANN's BURIED TREASURES -- booklets originally published by the Sphinx, but later re-issued by Flosso.    So after you read Flosso's fascinating biography, and increase your knowledge of this amazing man and magic's rich history, you can also learn some more tricks, too!
