From Magicpedia, courtesy of Genii Magazine:
    U.F. Grant
(January 12, 1901- March 1, 1978), known as "Gen", was a magic dealer and inventor.
'Gen', or 'The Little General' as he is sometimes referred to, was a descendant of General U. S. Grant and is named for the General as well as the General's son.   Grant started in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, where he created his first tricks. Later he moved to New York City joining the
    Abbott Magic & Novelty Co.
, eventually settled in Columbus, Ohio creating his own firm, "U.F. Grant Magic".
    In 1944, he partnered with
    R.N. Menge
creating a line of products known as "
    Grant and Menge
" or "G. & M." The partnership only lasted a year and they ended up becoming rivals.
He created a long line of pamphlet-type magic booklets, which were often affectionately joked about by magicians for their brevity.
    Don Tanner
wrote directions for and illustrated many of the items marketed by the Grant company.
Grant was a member of the
    IBM
    ,
    SAM
, the Order of Merlin, and the Columbus Magic Club Ring 7.
Grant turned the business over to his daughter

PLEASE NOTE AND READ:  Insurance costs will be added to the final shipping.  For low cost items, insurance may be added at no additional cost.  With NO insurance, there would be no refund if lost or damaged.  Actual total must be put on Customs Forms.  Item CANNOT be marked as a gift.  Multiple lots can be consolidated into one package with one invoice.   If you are bidding on more than one lot, do NOT pay right away.  If you do PayPal, I have to ship the next business day.  Once you pay, I will put positive feedback on ebay.  I do not wait as some other sellers may do.  If you are not happy with the items, please email me to let me know.  I work with buyers to resolve any problems.  I pack items as if I were shipping them to myself.  I have been selling on ebay for over 16 years, with 100% positive feedback. Read the comments, do not just look at the numbers.  I sometimes over-describe items, with all known problems, so you will always know what you are getting.  Please email me with any questions.
