    ITEM:   This is a hard cover book,
    Handkerchief Magic
    , by Will Blyth, a C. Arthur Pearson Publication, London, 1922. Filled with tricks, puzzles, amusements and magic, all with handkerchiefs.
    This book is in typical condition and is is one of the "yellow peril" books.  Many of the Pearson publications had heavy yellow card covers, with light paper spines that quickly worn away.   Collectors have used the term "yellow peril" to describe these.  It is rare to find one like this with the complete spine.

    (1873-1937) was the author of many magic books.
    He was elected to the position of Hon. Librarian of the
    Magic Circle
    in August of 1919, and served in that capacity until his death on January 7, 1937.

    You can find this edition in similar condition with taped spine on the AddAll on-line book search selling for .58 and up. Our starting bid is much lower and there is no reserve.  Bid and the item will sell.

    SIZE: 4 7/8 by 7 1/4 inches, 123 pages plus ads for other magic items on inside covers and rear end papers, with hard card covers.
    COND:  Covers have wear, ageing & soiling.  Spine is missing.  Covers are attached, with front cover a bit loose. Signatures are shaken, especially between pages 16 and 17 .   Interior pages have NO dog-ear corners, very clean pages. Title page has Chet Karkut embossed notary style seal on lower right corner.  First page with ads has silver Karkut bookplate.  Short title pages has Kerkut ad card, and is signed by an earlier owner, "
