    Description

For sale is this incredible authentic Chinese Celadon Hetian nephrite jade hand carved bracelet. This jade bracket is hand carved from a single piece of jade. It has been carved into three separate jade bangles that fit together like a cord, interwoven. This is incredibly hard to do, and requires great skill. It is made out of some of the highest quality jade available (Celadon Hetian Nephrite, in a classic jade green color). It was hand carved in northern China, around the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. This part of China is known for this high quality Hetian nephrite jade that it produces, commonly called “mutton fat” jade. When I was in Beijing last, I was able to do some research and training on jade carving at a local facility. I learned that this type of jade is coveted for its alleged healing properties, calming earth tones, pale green/white colors, and beautiful appearance. This particular piece was examined and authenticated by a Chinese lab. Included with the piece is the gemstone certification card seen with it in the photo. Also included is the price tag with the MSRP from the jade carving facility it was originally purchased from. Note that pieces like this can go for a lot of money. This is an incredible piece of authentic jade artwork. I am unsure if this piece is untreated and fresh, or if it was prepared using gemstone treatments. Gemstone treatments (commonly including irradiation, heating, and filling) are common in the gemstone trade world. They are used to improve the gemstone in appearance and integrity. The downside is that this also makes them less like their natural forms. Because the optical natures of the stone and density can vary slightly, sometimes treated gemstones test different than raw ones (meaning some cheaper gemstone verification methods might not prove useful with treated stones). I am not aware of any treatments that were used in this piece, but wanted to include the disclaimer that this pieces may have been treated at some point. It was hand carved from a single piece of jade, and is in mint condition (in as good condition now as when it was first made — there still may be small blemishes as this was carved from a natural stone). The MSRP on the price tag is only the price that was suggested by the manufacturer/artist that this be sold for, it is not an appraisal or a statement of value. This piece could appraise for much more or less than it. This is a wonderful piece and would make a great addition to any collection! It is museum worthy, and a fine piece! Don’t pass it up!
