Antique German's Sweet Chocolate wooden box Walter Baker & Co. Dorchester Mass.
Wooden box with finger joinery, paper German's Sweet Chocolate label on one end. Writing on the other 3 sides:
~Walter Baker & Co Ltd Registered Trade mark Established 1780 Dorchester, Mass.,
~1-4 Lb. Packages 6 Lbs. Net Made By Walter Baker & Co. Ltd. Dorchester, Mass.,
~Gold Medal Awarded Walter Baker & Co. Paris Expostion 1900.
10 1/2" x 6 1/2" x 3 1/2" and weighs 11 oz unboxed.
In good original old vintage condition, from the early part of the 20th century.
Box has finger joinery, original ink writing, and paper labels, lots of age and wear from use, but still sturdy and all the sides are there, unbroken. No lid or top, don't know if it ever had one, but there are two small metal loops on the top back that indicate some sort of hinge, perhaps.
Nice old collectible.
