Historical Impressions was dedicated to reproducing sculptural representations of monuments, artifacts and antiques.  They closed and stopped production in 2008.  This piece is described on their website as follows:
Viking Gargoyle
Animal heads like this 11th century carving can be found throughout Ireland and England and display the powerful artistic contribution of the Viking culture to these countries.  The animal depicted is most likely a wolf, now vanished from these regions, but at one time an important animal in Celtic-Norse iconography.
A rare find.  Made with a custom cast stone.  While described on the Historic Impressions website, this piece is no longer available in their inventory.
